I survived! ~ August 30th
What a week! First my birthday (excellent), then an earthquake (insignificant and yet auspicious), and then Hurricane Irene (nerve-wracking beforehand but ultimately not a problem for me)! I survived and now will be heading up the Coast to see the hurricane's effect on my favorite coastal spot. This is how it looked on my birthday...

Beautiful photo! And I am glad all went well with the hurricane. Some of the pictures from the NE states look incredible!! Hugs, Silke
