Weekly Photo Collection with Jessica Rogers Photography

Awhile ago, I discovered photographer Jessica Rogers and her collection, Photo of the Week. I began participating, and now I'm hooked! Summer Colours ~ Green Day

I've so been enjoying Summer Colours week on Flickr. Thank you to Poppytalk for creating this great photo group! We've already had pink day and yellow day. Now it's Wednesday, and the emphasis is on the many shades of green, from emerald to lime to mint and every other shade in-between.

Variations on a theme

Saturday morning, I got up early and happened to notice the way the sun was striking my kitchen table. I had already been thinking about taking photos of my old vintage teapot, and the time suddenly seemed right. I'm very pleased with this image.



And today I decided to play around with it in Photoshop Elements. Please click on each picture for a better look.

Looking Up (again)

Here are more photos from my Looking Up series that I started last week. All photos were taken in Portland, Maine. I did quite a bit of photo editing so some are color and some are black and white. New photography series: Looking Up

I am working on several new photography series for my Etsy photo shop/gallery, and I thought I would post a preview of one of my series -- this one is called Looking Up. (As always, please click on images for a better view.)



All of these photos were taken in downtown Portland, Maine, last evening.



I walked around for about 45 minutes, traversing maybe three square blocks, and took 200 photos.



I've got lots more to post, but I will save them for another day. Of this group, my favorite is the window. I just love the reflections -- I feel as though I am getting a glimpse into other worlds.
