I survived! ~ August 30th

What a week! First my birthday (excellent), then an earthquake (insignificant and yet auspicious), and then Hurricane Irene (nerve-wracking beforehand but ultimately not a problem for me)! I survived and now will be heading up the Coast to see the hurricane's effect on my favorite coastal spot. This is how it looked on my birthday...

But I anticipate the waves will be much bigger today. I'm taking my camera so stop back later in the week for an update on the Maine Coast.
